The Great Transformation

In the 1990s, portable CBs held a significant share of the communications market, and at Midland, we were well aware of this trend. So, in 1998, we once again amazed with a unique device: the Alan 42. This product was astonishing for its time, marking a significant evolution compared to previous models. In just ten years, we had dramatically reduced the size of our devices: from the bulky Alan K33 to the more compact Alan 42, with dimensions of about 15 x 7 x 3 cm and a weight of only 250 grams.

Among the improvements made over time are the digital noise suppression filters, which have significantly enhanced communication quality by reducing interference and ensuring clear and crisp transmission. Additionally, the latest version with a lithium battery pack has doubled the device's battery life and made recharging ten times faster, meeting the needs of the most demanding users.

Today, the Alan 42 is celebrated in our Museum as one of the milestones that revolutionized CB communications, representing an example of how a product can become a lasting icon through innovation and attention to users' needs. The Midland Alan 42 continues to be a symbol of quality and reliability, ready to meet the communication needs of modern users.
