Midland Intercoms

Choosing the right intercom is a bit like choosing the perfect helmet: essential for your safety and riding enjoyment. The intercom is no longer just an accessory but an indispensable travel companion, allowing you to simplify communications with your passenger and fellow riders, listen to music and GPS directions, and answer phone calls.

It’s not just about convenience—it also improves motorcyclist safety. With an intercom, you never risk losing focus on the road.

Our history with intercoms began in 2008, when we launched the BT2, the first bike-to-bike intercom developed by our R&D department, introducing stereo mode and pilot-to-pilot communication, eliminating all cables thanks to Bluetooth technology.

Since then, Midland’s intercom range has expanded, meeting the needs of every rider, from beginners to the most experienced and demanding ones.

So, when a biker needs to buy an intercom, the first question that comes to mind is: Which one should I choose?

With this practical guide, discover the features of every Midland intercom model—choosing the one that’s right for you will be a breeze!

BTX1 Pro S

The BTX1 Pro S is the only intercom in its category to introduce conference mode, enabling simultaneous communication with up to 4 devices over a distance of 800 meters.

It features a 23-hour battery life, a Digital Noise Killer system that reduces wind and engine noise by up to 80%, and automatic volume control. It can also connect universally with intercoms from other brands.

You can also add RCF speakers as an optional upgrade for top-tier audio quality.

BTR1 Advanced

If you love riding with friends and taking on some thrilling curves, the BTR1 Advanced intercom is the perfect choice. It allows bike-to-bike conference communication with up to 4 riders over a 1200-meter range, ensuring that even the slowest friend never gets left out of the group. The BTR1 Advanced includes RCF audio technology (speakers and earpads), transforming your helmet into a concert hall with clear, crisp sound and unmatched audio quality.

Additionally, this model features Parallel Audio, eliminating interruptions—so you can talk to your friends via intercom while continuing to listen to music, FM radio, or GPS directions in the background. The BTR1 Advanced is also compatible with intercoms from other brands.

BTX2 Pro S LR

For the most demanding motorcyclists, there’s the BTX2 Pro S LR, allowing one-to-one communication with up to 6 people and conference mode for 4 couples (8 people, 4 bikes), with a range of up to 1600 meters.

It has a dual processor, enabling you to communicate while listening to music or GPS directions in the background. It also includes noise suppression technology and automatic volume control.

The BTX2 Pro S LR is perfect for group rides and is compatible with intercoms from other brands.

R1 Mesh

Here comes the R1 Mesh, which introduces Mesh technology, providing more stable communications for larger groups.

With Bluetooth intercoms, devices must be manually paired every time you want to communicate. Mesh systems, however, allow devices to connect automatically when they enter the network, making communication smoother and uninterrupted.

Midland’s Mesh technology is designed to work exclusively with other Midland Mesh devices, ensuring simple, stable, and optimized connections within the same network.

With R1 Mesh, you can communicate in conference mode over 2200 meters with up to 6 people. It has a dual processor, so you can talk while keeping music or GPS directions in the background. The Crystal Voice Processing system ensures unmatched audio quality for an intercom, thanks to the included RCF speakers—communication has never been this fun!
