When you are working in a noisy environment or outdoors in remote areas, having a radio that guarantees maximum coverage makes all the difference. Imagine being on a construction site needing to communicate with your colleagues, or during a hunting trip on a remote trail without a phone signal: the only way to stay connected is with a radio that never leaves you stranded, in any condition.

The new Midland D10 was designed precisely to meet these needs: it is the first portable radio in the Midland range that combines the best of two worlds, digital and analog, in a single device that is easy to use but features advanced technology. This means immediate compatibility with those still using analog radios while also delivering the superior performance guaranteed by digital. It’s a solution designed for professionals, hunters, and hikers seeking reliability, autonomy, and clear communication in any condition.

Why a radio that combines digital and analog?

Not everyone uses digital radios, and if you have a purely digital radio, you might be unable to connect. With the D10, you no longer have to choose because it is compatible with both PMR446 and DMR446 frequencies: the radio automatically switches between modes, keeping you always connected to everyone.

In a professional setting, such as a construction site or a logistics warehouse where different equipment is used, the D10 becomes a bridge that simplifies communication, without interruptions or technical barriers.

The D10 harnesses the full potential of digital mode:

  • Always clear audio, even when the signal drops – digital radios provide cleaner and more stable audio thanks to advanced technologies such as error correction and noise suppression. This means you can communicate clearly even at the edge of the coverage area, where an analog radio would start to “crackle.”

  • Wider and more consistent coverage – digital communications generally offer a more extended and stable range compared to analog. In practice, this means fewer dead zones and greater reliability when you’re on the move, whether on the road, off-road, or in the field.

  • More battery life, fewer recharges – thanks to TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) technology, digital radios use transmission time more efficiently, reducing energy consumption. The result? Up to 40% more autonomy, ideal for those who need to communicate all day without worrying too much about the battery.

Why choose the D10 over another radio?

This radio represents the new frontier of mobile communication. It was designed by our R&D team starting from the needs of those engaged in hunting and outdoor activities, where outdoor life is not just a hobby but a mission. It is designed for those facing multi-day hunting trips, high-altitude excursions, or long work shifts without the possibility of recharging. This is why it is a radio built for long distances and with exceptional battery life.

Range up to 14 km

In digital mode, the D10 can cover up to 14 km. This ensures you can communicate even in isolated areas, high mountains, or along routes without mobile signal.

Record battery life up to 50 hours

The 2600 mAh lithium battery provides up to 50 hours of real digital operation, the highest value in the entire Midland range. This means you can tackle a hunting weekend, multi-day hike, or an intense work shift without worrying about recharging.

Always clear audio

When you are in a team and receive a key piece of information about where to move, the D10 ensures you don’t miss part of the message due to wind or background noise. Voice quality is crystal clear, even amid environmental disturbances or interference.

Guaranteed safety and privacy

The Scrambler function protects communications on analog channels, encrypting them for greater confidentiality. The transceiver includes 11 predefined and customizable Scrambler codes from 1.3 K to 4.1 K.

Versatility and customization

The D10 is a highly versatile radio because it is programmable with advanced functions and designed to adapt to different scenarios:

  • It has up to 256 channels divided into 16 banks, for work/leisure configurations;

  • It provides quick access to channels with just two buttons;

  • It has an IP54 protection rating, making it resistant to dust and splashes;

  • It features Auto Power Save to reduce consumption when not in use.

All these features make it ideal for professionals working on construction sites or in logistics teams, for hunters, and for outdoor enthusiasts such as hikers.

Differences between DMR and DPMR

One important aspect is compatibility: the D10 uses DMR technology, which is not compatible with DPMR devices.

If your current network is DPMR, you need a device with the same standard. If you already work with DMR, the D10 is the right choice.

The Midland D10 is not just a new radio; it is a bridge that eliminates communication incompatibilities between analog and digital, ensuring clear communications even over long distances and providing battery life that lasts for days.

Whether you are working on a construction site, leading a hunting team, or trekking in the mountains, the D10 accompanies you with reliability and versatility: because good communication means traveling and working better, without limits.
