Ultraviolet rays have a strong germicidal effect and are most effective at
short wavelengths (UV-C) below 280 nm. The germicidal effect of UV-C radiation
extends to bacteria, viruses, spores, mold fungi and mites; it is mainly due to
the destructive effect exerted by UV-C radiation on their DNA.
It is recommended to use the portable UV light sterilizer for about 3
minutes with 5-10 passes on the surface to be sterilized.
