SENA COMPATIBILITY
Midland announces a significant advancement in compatibility between its intercoms and those of other leading brands in the sector. In addition to the already known compatibility with the OBI protocol, which allows connection with models from renowned brands such as Cardo and UClear, Midland has expanded the possibilities for connection by extending compatibility to SENA devices.
This innovation eliminates the need to use the Universal Intercom function when connecting a Midland intercom to a SENA model. In the past, the Universal Intercom function was essential for pairing devices from different brands, often with more complex procedures and limitations in using the phone. With the new update, owners of Midland intercoms will be able to connect their devices to SENA models using the same simple procedure they use to pair Midland intercoms with each other. This makes the connection process more intuitive and immediate, improving the user experience.
Thanks to this new compatibility, Midland intercoms can now be easily paired in Bluetooth intercom mode even with other devices Cardo, SENA, and Interphone, creating a perfectly integrated communication ecosystem among the leading brands in the sector. This means that, regardless of the brand of intercom chosen by their travel companions, users will be able to establish a Bluetooth intercom connection simply and without giving up the use of the phone.
It is important to emphasize that the Universal Intercom, although no longer necessary for the most popular brands, will not be completely eliminated. This function will remain available and will continue to play a fundamental role for those using intercoms from lesser-known or less widespread brands on the market. In this way, Midland guarantees maximum flexibility to its users, allowing them to connect virtually with any device available on the market.
The update introducing this new compatibility will be made available for all products in the Pro and R lines, ensuring that a wide range of users can benefit from these new features. However, the BT Mini does not benefit from this update but continues to have available 3 Universal Intercom pairings.
How does it work? The pairing procedure of a Midland with a Cardo/Sena/Interphone will simply be: intercom pairing on the Midland and intercom pairing on the Cardo/Sena/Interphone: as if they were two intercoms of the same brand. Both will still have the phone pairing available.
BTR1 ADVANCED: Sharing a journey between Music and Communication
The BTR1 ADVANCED, the latest flagship intercom in the range, introduces a "PARALLEL AUDIO" feature that takes communication and entertainment on two wheels to an unprecedented level, offering you a unique experience in terms of comfort, safety, and driving pleasure. A true innovation at Midland for a model with a single processor.
With "PARALLEL AUDIO," you can finally say goodbye to the annoying interruptions that often occur during the simultaneous use of multiple audio sources. You can talk in intercom mode with your travel companion, and in the background, listen to the directions of GPS apps and your favorite playlist.
"PARALLEL AUDIO" grants the BTR1 Advanced the same advantages and convenience of the "stereo background" function reserved until now only for models with dual processors. These will only boast greater operating stability in the case of multiple Bluetooth connections.
How does it work? From now on, if you play music and/or activate a GPS app (on the device paired to the volume +), you'll automatically hear their audio in the background during intercom communication.
PURE FUN WITH THE BT MINI
The BT Mini, one of the best-selling models in the Midland range, is enhanced with a new and engaging feature: music share. This innovation allows you to share your favorite music with your travel companion, transforming every journey into an even more enjoyable and connected experience. How does it work? While talking in intercom mode with your passenger, press play from your BTMini, and both will listen to the same music.
